C T Online Desk: The district administration has issued a public notice to remove illegal settlements from Alinagar Hills in Sitakunda. By August 20, all illegal residents of Alinagar have been instructed to withdraw from the area. Otherwise, strict action will be taken against the concerned, the Chittagong District Administration said.
Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman said, “We have already discovered more than four hundred families of the hill.” The High Court has directed the High Court on August 5 to protect the hills, hills, forests of Alinagar and the environment, environment and biodiversity of Alinagar in Salimpur, Sitakunda.
In this, the hills were occupied and the illegal residents were asked to remove all the structures and ensure the ownership of legitimate landowners. As part of this, the work of identifying Khas land has already begun and the owners of the legitimate land have been asked to attend the necessary documents at the Assistant Commissioner (Land) office in Sitakunda by August 20.
