C T Online Desk: Ornab Das: Bangladeshi student and youth leader Subrata Dev Shuvo has been honored with the “National Youth Leadership Award 2026” in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth leadership, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), social development, and international youth engagement.
The award was presented during the National Youth Leadership Programme 2026 held in New Delhi. The programme was jointly organized by NITI Aayog, MY Bharat, Projects Point Odisha, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, along with several national-level governmental and non-governmental organizations of India.
The event was attended by representatives from various Indian ministries, policymakers, youth development professionals, and international delegates, including the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India.
Subrata Dev Shuvo recently completed his higher education from the University of Delhi. Alongside his academic journey, he has been actively involved in youth development, leadership building, social innovation, skill development, and promoting youth participation in achieving the SDGs.
He has represented Bangladesh and India in various international youth conferences, policy dialogues, and development platforms. His active involvement in initiatives related to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), international dialogues, and sustainability-driven programs has been widely appreciated.
Shuvo is also the founder of the youth-based think tank “The Diplomatic Standard,” which works on youth diplomacy, public policy, international relations, leadership development, and SDG implementation. The organization aims to enhance youth participation in policymaking and promote global citizenship.
Reacting to the recognition, Subrata Dev Shuvo said, “This award inspires me to work more responsibly. I will continue to focus on empowering youth, promoting leadership, and ensuring active youth participation in building a sustainable and inclusive future.”
Organizers stated that the award was presented in recognition of his significant contributions to youth leadership, social development, SDG implementation, international youth engagement, and strengthening Bangladesh-India youth cooperation. They believe his achievement will inspire young people to engage more actively in leadership, volunteerism, and social change.
