C T Online Desk: April 22, 2026– City Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain has stressed the need to develop moral values, humanity and patriotism among students alongside academic achievements.
Dr Shahadat Hossain made the remarks as the chief guest at a reception for successful students of Bangladesh Mahila Samity Girls’ High School and College this afternoon.
The City Mayor also emphasised the importance of fulfilling commitments and extending support for the institution’s development. Financial assistance was provided to meritorious students and the daughter of an employee.
The Mayor highlighted the Chattogram City Corporation’s efforts to improve the education sector and ensure high-quality educational institutions in the city. He assured continued support and future initiatives in this regard.
He also encouraged students to take responsibility for keeping the city clean, green and safe, stressing patriotism, honesty and compassion. He called for building a corruption-free and prosperous Bangladesh.
The function was presided over by Principal Muhammad Arif Ul Hasan Chowdhury of Bangladesh Mahila Samity Girls’ High School and College. Khadija Begum, Razia Begum, Assistant Headmistresses, and Md Ali Zafar Sadek attended as special guests.
