C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh: Newly elected MP Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Liton held an exchange of views and an Iftar Mahfil with journalists working in Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh. Journalists from local print and electronic media participated in the event, which was organized in a cordial and sincere atmosphere.
The iftar and exchange of views was held at the Rashedul Islam Conference Hall on Tuesday (February 24) organized by the upazila administration.
At the event, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Liton said that the overall development of Trishal, infrastructure renovation, and improvement of the quality of education and health sectors are his priorities. He emphasized on the joint efforts to develop Trishal as a modern and planned town. He especially expressed hope to further expand the educational and cultural environment around the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University.
During the exchange of views, journalists raised various issues including law and order situation, transparency in ongoing development projects, fair prices for farmers and ease of access to information. In response, the MP said that he will work sincerely to fulfill the expectations of the people and will accept constructive criticism from the media positively.
He also said that regular communication with journalists will be maintained to ensure transparency and accountability in development activities. After the discussion, prayers and supplications were offered for the welfare of the country and the nation, and all those present had iftar together.
