C T Online Desk: Hasnat Abdulla, central coordinator of the Student Against Discrimination (SAD), has blasted the ousted fascist Awami League for its loyalty to a neighboring country and said that the people of the country not India will decide who comes to the state power here.
He made the remarks while addressing a rally held at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka on Friday afternoon to launch National Citizen Party (NCP).
“Politics of division has been prevailing among us over the last one and half decades. We want to build a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh shunning the path of the politics of division,” he said.
Leaders of different political parties and diplomats joined the launching function that began around 4:20pm, following a rendition of the national anthem.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, Mia Golam Parwar, secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of Gonosamhati Andolon, Jalaluddin Ahmed, general secretary of Khelafat Majlis, Mostafizur Rahmam Iran, chairman of Bangladesh Labour Party, Kamran Dangal, political counselor of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka and the ambassador of Vatican to Bangladesh.
Mahmudur Rahman Manna, president of Nagorik Oikya, Ahmed Ali Kashemi, nayeb-e-ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Sakhawat Hossain Razi, secretary general of Islami Oikyajote, Nurul Islam Bulbul, nayeb-e-ameer of Jamaat’s Dhaka south unit and Abdul Mannan, executive president of Bikalpadhara Bangladesh, among others also attended the programme.
