C T Online Desk: The countrymen would be denied voting rights if the election is delayed, says the BNP leader.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has blamed the interim government for its failure to maintain neutrality in some certain cases.
Calling upon the incumbent management to uphold impartiality, he emphasised that holding the national election after minimal reforms is essential to overcome the prevailing crises.
“We have been deprived of election for the last 15 years. After the 5 August changeover, the countrymen wanted to get a democratic state through an impartial election, but the issue has been made controversial forcibly,” said the BNP leader.
While addressing a programme held at the National Press Club in Dhaka on Thursday, he said the countrymen would be denied voting rights if the election was delayed.
