C T Online Desk: Ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat route have been temporarily suspended due to dense fog, leaving four ferries stranded in the river.
The ferries are named Chitra, Dhansiri, Khan Jahan Ali, and Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman.
Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury, deputy general manager (Commerce) of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation
(BIWTC), confirmed that ferry services were halted from 6:10am on Monday to prevent accidents caused by poor visibility.
He further said that the suspended services would resume once the fog clears and visibility improves.
