In the event, Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination movement, expressed his commitment to always be by the side of the injured and martyrs to maintain the transparency of the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation.

He said, “The journey of our foundation has started with the aim of supporting the families of the martyrs and the injured. You will cooperate with correct information. Hasina government has jailed former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia for corruption charges of only Tk 2 crore. If we do not keep the account of our foundation correct, even after 20 years, if Sheikh Hasina’s friends come to power, then we will have to go to jail for this reason. So want to make it a strong transparent foundation.”

He also said, “Hasina and her cronies are always trying to make us fail. And if we fail, we don’t exist. Those within the administration who were involved in the July killings must be brought to justice. The current administration needs to be more strict. Today, those who got posts are for our movement. And if you don’t take action against them then you don’t need to stay in office. You must judge those among you who have done wrong. The evil eye plot of the vultures is not over, if we are alive then we will stand by the martyr’s family even at the cost of our lives. I won’t even let them get even an iota of heat on their bodies.” Chief executive of Juli Shaheed Smriti Foundation was also present at the event. Yusuf Ali, Deputy Commissioner. Mufidul Alam and others.
