C T Online Desk: The name of Bangladeshi national Ashik Chowdhury has entered the Guinness World Records for his skydiving from a plane with the Bangladeshi flag.
On 25 May, he made this record by jumping from a plane in Memphis, USA.
On Monday (1 July), Guinness World Records updated its website with Ashik’s achievement. Previously, the record for the “Greatest Distance Freefall with a Banner or Flag” was held by Indian skydiver Jitin Vijayan.
Jitin Vijayan’s record in this category was diving for a distance of about 11,256 meters (36,929 feet 13 inches). Ashik Chowdhury broke this record by skydiving with a flag for a distance of 11,368 meters (37,296 feet 58 inches).
