C T Online Desk:A woman has given birth to a baby boy at the Agargaon metro rail station in Dhaka.
Mahfuzur Rahman, the manager of the station, confirmed the news.
“Sonia Rani Roy, who was travelling to Agargaon from Uttara via metro rail along with her husband Sukanto Saha, started having labour pains while the couple was still on the train. Later, she gave birth with the help of members of Scouts and DMTCL staffers at around 9:30am,” Mahfuzur Rahman said.
Afterward, she was sent to a hospital in Dhanmondi, he added.
The mother and the baby both are doing well, Mahfuzur Rahman said.
