Bashundhara signs as Strategic invester of CSE

C T Online Desk: Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has signed an agreement with ABG Limited as a strategic investor. The agreement was signed at Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View Hotel on Sunday (November 20) night . Managing Director (Acting) on ​​behalf of CSE in the event. Ghulam Farooq and the Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anveer signed the agreement on behalf of ABG Limited. ABG Limited, a company of Bashundhara Group, the country’s top local industrial conglomerate, will operate as a strategic partner of CSE. By purchasing 25 per cent stake in CSE, ABG Limited has become a strategic investor in the ownership of the exchange. With the aim of bringing overall development and functional prosperity to the capital market of the country, ABG Limited has started taking various steps, which will play a groundbreaking role in making the capital market more prosperous and strong. Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP spoke as the chief guest at the signing ceremony. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F. Rahman, MP spoke as guest of honor in the event. Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Rezaul Karim Chowdhury  graced the event as a special guest, Education Deputy Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury MP, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Professor Shibli Rubaiyat ul Islam and Chairman of Bashundhara Group, one of Bangladesh’s industrial groups Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
