C T Online Desk: ATM Payrul Islam has been elected Chairman of Chittagong Zilla Parishad. He got 2 thousand 567 votes in the election.Election Returning Officer Mohammad Hasanuzzaman announced the results after counting the votes on Monday (October 17).
He told media that 2,696 out of 2,730 voters voted in 15 centers. Which is 98.75 percent. Among them, ATM Payrul Islam with pineapple symbol was elected unofficially by getting 2 thousand 567 votes. His closest rival, Narayan Rakshit on the motorcycle symbol got 124 voter.
