Payrul nominated for Ctg ZP elections

C T Online Desk: Chattogram  North District Awami League Vice President ATM Payrul Islam has been nominated for the post of Chairman of the Chattogram Zila Parishad election .. He was the former chairman of Fatikchari Upazila Parishad of the district and the former literature and publication secretary of Central Chhatra League.

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Awami League’s Parliamentary and Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban on Saturday (September 10) around 4 pm. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the president of Awami League’s Parliamentary and Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board

. Awami League nominated ATM Payrul Islam for the post of Chairman of Chittagong Zilla Parishad was born in Fatikchari Upazila of Chittagong.  He was elected as the general secretary of the students’ council while studying at Ahmadiya High School in the upazila. He was admitted to Nazirhat College in higher secondary. In 1979, he was elected as the general secretary of the college student-parliament.

In the same year ATM Payrul was elected General Secretary of Upazila Chhatra League. After that, in 1981, he got a place in the district committee of the Chhatra League. He was elected as the president of Chittagong North District Chhatra League .In 1987, he became the Central Chhatra League’s publications and publications secretary. He was also at the forefront of the anti-dictatorship movement. He was one of the few leaders of Central Chhatra League who led the anti-dictatorship movement.
