No lease-out of Patenga beach, says Prof. Khan

He said these things at a press conference organized by Chittagong Forum to protest against the plan to lease Patenga beach on a commercial basis by CDA at 11:30 am on Saturday in the Sultan Ahmad Auditorium of Chittagong Press Club.

He said that the rights of the common people are being taken away. Circuit House grounds, Foy’s Lake gone. Even if we want to, we cannot spend time sitting in such a natural environment. He said that Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) is going to lease 1.5 km area of ​​7 km area adjacent to Patenga beach as tourism zone-1 and tourism zone-2 on commercial basis through tender for 25 years.
