CCC evicts over 200 illegal shops ,establishments

C T Online Desk: More than two hundred shops along with illegal establishments have been evicted from GEC intersection, Golpahar , Asian highway, Shulkbahar, Bahaddarhat  kitchen  market and new Chandgaon police station on Shah Amanat Bridge road.

At that time, a case was filed against 4 people for leaving the goods of the business on the road and footpath and causing obstruction to public movement and a fine of 24 thousand taka was collected. Marufa Begum Neli, Executive Magistrate of Chittagong City Corporation, led the operation on Sunday (August 7).

City Mayor’s Private Secretary Muhammad Abul Hashem and Regional Executive Officer Junaid Kabir Sohag participated in it. In another operation conducted by Special Magistrate Manisha Mahajan, a case was filed against 7 people for occupying the roads and sidewalks on both sides of various roads in Firingibazar area and  storing  goods and construction materials.
