C T Online Desk: The government has put 10 more executive magistrates into action to conduct drives and ensure that shops and markets in Dhaka close by 8pm, as the country faces an energy crisis.
The Dhaka District Magistrate’s office in an office order on Friday said the prime minister had issued a directive to take necessary steps to reduce energy consumption considering the non-stop increase of fuel price on the international market.
Additional deputy commissioners would monitor the overall situation, it added.
The order will remain effective until further notice.
