Press conference at Chittagong Press Club to save the life of Agraraj Sikdar who lost his leg in S Alam bus

C T Online Desk: Rupar Sikder’s child (5) S Alam Bus (Chattametro-B-11-1454) Agraraj Sikder, a resident of Ward No. 6, Banshkhali Shekerkhil, Chittagong, was seriously injured in the accident and became crippled. Agraraj’s mother and father held a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on April 12 to save his life. In a press conference, Agraraj’s mother Jayanti De Poornima told the journalists present that on February 16, my son Agraraj was brutally beaten by S Alam bus from Maheshkhali to Chittagong on his way home from Napora Central Public School. Chapa Diyi driver Abdu Shuku’s father-son of deceased Nazeer Ahmed and the remaining two staff escaped. With the help of locals, the child Agraraj was rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical. After examining there, it was found that the left leg was broken and crushed, and the doctor decided to amputate his left leg. The doctor said that there is no guarantee that the right leg will get better. I contacted the S Alam company several times in this regard, but they did not pay any heed, I did not get any assurance of cooperation, so I organized a press conference to save my child’s life. He also said that my husband is Rupan Sikder. Our house is Sang-Shekherkhil, Ward No. 6, Tarakingkar Sikdar Para, No. 12 (A) Shekherkhil UP, Thana-Baskhali, District-Chittagong. I am a very reserved housewife. We have no land reserves. My husband Rupan Sikder’s income from carpentry is very difficult for our family. My husband Rupan Sikder has been taking care of his family recently by lending money to meet his family’s poverty. Various local and national news media have published reports about Agraraj’s loss of leg after being hit by a bus. But my son has lost his left leg and we are also worried about his right leg. His academic life is uncertain? A lot of money is needed for my son to survive with the necessary medical care. Which is not possible for us alone. We wish for your sincere cooperation. A letter has been sent to the Prime Minister’s office regarding the said matter. But so far no response has been received. In this regard, I am demanding fair trial by drawing the attention of the honorable Prime Minister.
