C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh: An awareness and action planning meeting has been held at the initiative of Mymensingh City Corporation to successfully implement the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign June-2026 to prevent malnutrition and ensure good health of children. All concerned have been called upon to work together to ensure that 100% of children receive Vitamin ‘A’ capsules under the campaign.
City Corporation Administrator Md. Rukunozzaman Rokon was present as the chief guest at the meeting organized at the Shaheed Shahabuddin Auditorium of Mymensingh City Corporation on Wednesday (June 24). Divisional Director of the Health Department Dr. Pradeep Kumar Saha was the special guest.
The meeting was presided over by the City Corporation’s Chief Health Officer Dr. H. K. Debnath. He outlined the overall preparation, implementation strategy and action plan of the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign and provided necessary instructions to the concerned.
During the discussion, speakers said that vitamin A plays an important role in increasing children’s immunity, reducing the risk of malnutrition, and healthy physical and mental development. Therefore, a coordinated effort by health workers, public representatives, volunteers, and all concerned is needed to make the campaign successful.
In his speech as the chief guest, Md. Rukunozzaman Rokon said that the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign is an important program of the government for child health protection. Everyone must play a responsible role in ensuring that not a single child is left out of this service. He called for all-out cooperation for the successful implementation of the program.
Officials from various departments of Mymensingh City Corporation, representatives from healthcare, field workers, and various stakeholders were present at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, emphasis was placed on creating widespread public awareness and properly implementing the prescribed action plan to make the national Vitamin A Plus campaign a success.
