C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh: The upazila administration has conducted an eviction drive against illegal structures in Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh. The drive was conducted in the area adjacent to Trishal Bus Stand and Trishal Bazar on Wednesday (May 6) afternoon. Trishal Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Arafat Siddiqui and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahbubur Rahman led the drive. Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Munsur Ahmed was present to maintain law and order. Trishal Upazila Press Club President Sarwar Jahan Jewel and local journalists were also present and observed the entire activity.
During the operation, illegal shops and establishments that were obstructing the roads and public movement were removed. This partially freed up important roads and sidewalks that had been occupied for a long time, thus restoring ease of pedestrian and vehicular movement.
The upazila administration informed that such campaigns in the public interest will continue in the future. Everyone was urged to be vigilant against illegal encroachment and construction of structures and instructions were given to those concerned to abide by the law.
