C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : On July 16, 2022, baby Fatima was miraculously born after her mother’s womb ruptured after being hit by a truck in Trishal, Mymensingh. Upon learning of this incident, which caused a stir around the world at the time, the current government’s humanitarian Prime Minister Tarique Rahman took the responsibility of supporting Baby Fatima’s family. Since then, the Prime Minister has been regularly sending monthly meals to the family for the past 44 months.
On Wednesday (April 22) afternoon, Naimul Karim Luin, former divisional co-organizing secretary of the Central Chhatra Dal, delivered the market supplies for the 44th consecutive month to the 5-member family of child Fatima, as is done every month.
The monthly market includes all kinds of daily necessities including rice, pulses, chira, muri, sugar, oil, salt, chicken.
Student leader Naimul Karim Luin also said that Atiqur Rahman Rumon, the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, convener of the BNP family, member of the BNP’s media cell and editor and publisher of the daily Dinkal newspaper, is regularly keeping an eye on the family. He also said that the Prime Minister has been delivering monthly groceries to the family for 44 consecutive months. In order to implement the Prime Minister’s promise, this program will continue in the future for Shishu Fatima’s family.
Mostafizur Rahman Babul, a resident of Fakirbari in Raymoni village of Mathbari union in Trishal upazila and Shishu Fatema’s grandfather, confirmed the news. He told Banglanews, “Starting from the month Shishu Fatema was born, the Prime Minister has delivered monthly groceries to my family every month. I never have to wait for this. A student leader comes to my house every month to deliver groceries.”
When asked about his feelings on the matter, Mostafizur Rahman Babul also said, “What greater achievement can there be than a Prime Minister who, despite being busy with his state affairs, keeps my child grandson in mind and provides food to our family every month. This feeling cannot be expressed in words. Allah will surely reward the Prime Minister for this. We, as a family, are eternally grateful to the Prime Minister.”
