C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : An important pre-preparatory meeting was held in Mymensingh Division on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival. The meeting was held on Wednesday in the conference room of her office, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi, NDC.
The meeting was attended by the DIG of Mymensingh Range, senior officers of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Deputy Commissioners, Divisional Heads of DGFI and NSI, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, representatives of the Superintendent of Police, Executive Officers of Trishal and Bhaluka Upazilas and other responsible officials of various departments. The meeting focused on the Prime Minister’s arrival and discussed in detail the overall condition of the helipad and Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. It was decided to quickly repair and repair the designated places. It was also discussed about clearing the encroachment of the highway’s sidewalks, cleaning the dirt, and installing and repairing footover bridges at appropriate places. The Roads and Highways Department informed that the eviction process is already underway. The Trishal Upazila Executive Officer said that the illegal hut shops located on the side of the road adjacent to the market will be evicted quickly. Initiatives have been taken to clean the drains and beautify the local roads. Development work will be done on the road leading to the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University and lighting will be arranged at night. He also said that Nazrul Utsab will be organized. Special measures will be taken to control the sacrificial animal market to keep it smooth. The Power Department informed the meeting that uninterrupted power supply will be ensured during the event and necessary generator arrangements will also be made. The Public Health Engineering Department will provide drinking water and mobile toilets. The District Council will provide assistance in all related matters. It was informed that the Highway Police, DGFI, NSI and District Police are making coordinated preparations for security measures. Security will be strengthened under the guidance of the state security agency SSF. It has also been decided that no private drones will be flown without permission. Meanwhile, the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University informed that they are preparing for a large-scale cultural event on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival. Dance dramas, songs, processions, songs and poems based on Nazrul’s life and work have been planned. Cultural officials from Mymensingh, Netrokona, Jamalpur and Sherpur districts are preparing to showcase the heritage of their respective districts. Those concerned hope that through coordinated preparations, the Prime Minister’s visit will be completed successfully.
