Jamaat-e-Islami’s Iftar mahfil in Trishal

C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : An Iftar mahfil and discussion meeting was held in honor of various political figures, journalists and professionals in Trishal, Mymensingh, organized by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Trishal Upazila branch.

This Iftar Mahfil and discussion meeting was held at the Trishal Community Center in the Naodhar area of ​​the upazila on Saturday (March 7).

Trishal Upazila Jamaat-e-Islam Ameer Anam Abdullahil Baki presided over the function and Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Shamim moderated it. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Liton, Member of Parliament elected from Trishal, was the chief guest. Professor Kamrul Hasan Milon, Member of Parliament elected from Fulbaria, was the special guest, as was Mymensingh Metropolitan Branch Nayeb Ameer Asaduzzaman Sohel, President of Khelafat Majlis Mymensingh Branch Principal Mofizul Islam.

The chief guest said in his speech, “During the previous government, the leader of the ruling party and the leader of the opposition party could not sit together, eat together, or attend any event. Then, we were in a culture where positions would be exchanged. We have now come out of this culture.”

He further said, “As an opposition party, you will not only criticize the government but also highlight its good works.” Later, he also called on everyone to unite and work together to build the planned Trishal of the future.
