Election environment satisfactory: CEC

C T Online Desk: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the environment surrounding the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election is satisfactory so far.

He made the remarks on Monday (5 January) while inspecting the appeal booths upon entering the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that with the cooperation of all concerned, it will be possible to deliver a free and fair national parliamentary election.

At present, the overall election environment and situation are satisfactory, he added.

Meanwhile, the process of filing appeals with the Election Commission against decisions made by returning officers began today.

Hearings on these appeal applications will be held in phases starting from 10 January at the auditorium of the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka.
