C T Online Desk: Shakhawat Sabbir | Special Correspondent : The chiefs of Bangladesh’s Army, Navy, and Air Force paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Friday, marking the observance of Armed Forces Day 2025.
According to the Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, the meeting took place in the morning at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment. Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan jointly met the Chief Adviser during the visit.
Prior to the meeting, Professor Yunus paid homage to the fallen heroes of the Bangladesh Armed Forces who made the supreme sacrifice during the Liberation War of 1971. He placed a wreath at the Shikha Anirban memorial, paying deep respects to the martyrs.
The courtesy meeting was held as part of the day’s formal programmes honouring the contributions, sacrifice, and legacy of the country’s armed forces.
