C T Online Desk: Shahadat from Dagonbhuiyan, Feni: A seminar titled “The Role of Stakeholders in Implementing Social Service Activities at the Upazila Level” was held at the Upazila Parishad Hall Room on wednesday morning, organized by the Daganbhuiyan Upazila Social Service Office of Feni District.
The seminar was chaired by Upozila Executive Officer Shahidul Islam and was attended by deputy director of the district social services office Saiful Islam Chowdhury, assistant director Md. Shahid Ullah, city social services officer Kaiser Mahmud, Daganbhuiyan upazila social service officer Ainul Hossain Jilani, feni reporters club president Md. Imam Hasan Kochi, journalist Abdullah Al Mamun and among others.
People from different walks of life, including pensioners, participated in the event. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Director of the district social services office, said that the social services office under the ministry of social welfare is working for the backward communities of the society through social security programs across the country.
The social services office is working on widow allowance, old age allowance, disability allowance, beggar rehabilitation program, child protection program, private orphanage, technical training, micro-loans, assistance to complex and difficult patients, and for the hijra community.
