C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel, Mymensingh: In a joint operation of the Roads and Highways Department and the Upazila Administration, the illegally built structures occupying the land of the Roads and Highways Department on both sides of the highway in Mymensingh’s Trishal have been cleared. Hundreds of illegal structures were cleared in the operation which started on Wednesday (October 23) morning. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahbubur Rahman led the evacuation operation under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jewel Ahmed with the help of Trishal police station. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jewel Ahmed, who led the eviction operation, said that an operation was conducted to evict illegal encroachments on both sides of the highway. This operation will continue in public interest and legal action will be taken against those who attempt to re-occupy.
