C T Online Desk: AF Hasan Arif, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Land, visited Mitford Hospital to see the injured victims of the attack at a puja mandap in Tanti Bazar, Dhaka.

On Friday night, miscreants hurled an object resembling a cocktail-bomb at a pandal in Tanti Bazar.
Although the object did not explode, at least four people were injured while trying to catch the attackers, who then resorted to stabbing.
Upon hearing about the incident, Adviser AF Hasan Arif rushed to the Tanti Bazar mandap to assess the situation. While there, he exchanged views with visitors and worshippers at the puja mandap.
During the interaction, Hasan Arif said: “Hindu devotees across the country celebrated Ashtami. On Saturday, they will celebrate Mahanabami in an even more festive atmosphere. I hope the remaining days of Durga Puja are celebrated peacefully.”
The adviser added that security had been strengthened in all puja mandaps more than ever before.
He said: “In addition to the law enforcement agencies, the army has also been deployed at the pandals. So, there is no need for fear—celebrate the festival without worry.”
He also spoke with the injured, their families, and the attending doctors. He instructed the doctors to ensure that there is no negligence in the treatment of the injured.
So far, the police have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident.
