Don’t step into political trap, Law adviser to Hindu community

C T Online Desk: From now on, there is no religious minority and majority in the country, says law adviser.

Asif Nazrul, adviser for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, has called upon the people of the country’s Hindu community not to step into any political trap amid the prevailing situation.

“We are all citizens of the country and we will live here with equal rights and dignity, showing due respect to all religions. Let’s not fall into any political traps,” he said this while exchanging greetings with people of Hindu community in Sirajganj on Friday.

Claiming that many political parties played games with the people of Hindu community, he said, “From now on, there is no religious minority and majority in the country. We all are citizens of the sovereign country.”

Bangladesh has taken a new birth through the sacrifice of hundreds of lives during the recent student-led oust-government movement, he said urging the countrymen to remain alert so that the achievement is not shattered in any way.

The incumbent government wants that all people of the country will live together harmoniously as everyone is an equal owner of the country indeed, he said.

The law adviser came up with the call when the people of the country’s Hindu community are observing their biggest religious festival Durga Puja without any major untoward incidents.
