Chittagong struggles with waterlogging as rain floods low-lying areas

C T Online Desk: Continuous rain has submerged the low-lying areas of Chittagong, causing severe waterlogging.

Residents of the city faced extreme hardship on Thursday with roads flooded with water ranging from knee to waist height.

The waterlogging also disrupted traffic on various city roads from the morning.

People commuting to work and those with other necessities faced significant challenges.

“Boats were seen in Katalganj, and many residents were using them to travel from their homes to the main road.”

Meanwhile, amid the rain-induced suffering, the local weather office said the rain would decrease from the afternoon.
