C T Online Desk: Renowned architect and freedom fighter Mubasshar Hussain died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka on early Monday.
Mubasshar, a former president of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh, died at about 2:00am on Monday, urban planner Iqbal Habib said.
‘He died while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital. He was put on life support for the past one and a half months,’ he said
He said that his body would be kept at IAB premises in the capital’s Agargaon area for public at 12:00 noon and his namaz-e-janaza would be held after Zuhr prayer.
Mubasshar graduated in architecture from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1972.
He was vocal on various issues, including civil rights and environmental movements, throughout his life.
