C T Online Desk: Red Crescent Society Chittagong City Unit has distributed winter clothes among 500 needy people including poor, van drivers, rickshaw drivers. These winter clothes were distributed in Bahaddarhat area of the city on Tuesday (December 27).
CCC Mayor and Chairman of Chittagong City Red Crescent Unit M. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury were the chief guests in the distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of Mohammad Abdus Salam, Treasurer of Bangladesh Red Crescent and Managing Director of Asian Group. Secretary of Red Crescent Chittagong City Unit Abdul Jabbar was the special guest.
Councilor M Ashraful Islam, Mayor’s Private Secretary Abul Hashem, Chittagong City Red Crescent Unit Executive Council Member Mohsin Uddin Chowdhury Faisal, Kazi Taufiful Azam, Mosharaful Haque Chowdhury, Md. Imtiaz. Istakul Islam Chowdhury Ishan, Abhishek Chowdhury, Deputy Youth Head of Youth Red Crescent Chittagong were present.
During the distribution of winter clothes, Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said that it is the moral responsibility of all of us to stand by the helpless and cold people of the society. Humanitarian bridges will be created by coming forward to help the helpless. Our cooperation can bring a piece of happiness in their life.
