Taijul strikes as India 86-3 at lunch

C T Online Desk: Spinner Taijul Islam struck early on the second day of the second Test as Bangladesh fought back against India at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.

With Taijul claiming three wickets, the visitors were reduced to 86-3 at lunch, trailing Bnagladesh by 141 runs in the first innings.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant stood on 18 and 12 runs respectively.

India resumed the innings on 19-0 with their overnight batsmen Lokesh Rahul and Shubman Gill unbeaten on 3 and 14 runs respectively.

However, the duo could add 8 runs more before Rahul fell for 10 to Taijul.

Later the left arm spinner picked up Subhman and Pujara for 20 and 24 runs respectively.

Earlier the hosts were all-out for 227 runs in their first innings.
