C T Online Desk: A fire broke out at a garment factory in the Bhabanipur area of Gazipur Sadar upazila on Friday morning.
Upon receiving the information, two firefighting units rushed to Orbit Textile and brought the fire there under control by 10:30pm, Gazipur Industrial Police-2 Inspector Dulal Uddin said.
The blaze had originated from friction sparks in a machine, he added.
Factory Director (Operation) Shahinul Haque said there were no casualties.
The extent of the damage caused by the fire could not be known immediately.
