C T Online Desk: By fulfilling the conditions given by the Chittagong Customs Authority and giving the no-objection and fire service license of the port, it will now be able to handle export products as well as import products.
On November 7, the Chittagong Customs Authority has given a permission letter to the BM Depot Authority. BM Depot was allowed to handle export goods for three months subject to certain conditions, the permit said. Later, BM Depot authorities got no objection from Chittagong port and got fire license by complying with the conditions of fire service and civil defense, besides export, import goods were also allowed to be handled. But in that case, among the 38 types of products approved by the National Board of Revenue, the products mentioned in the fire license can be handled.
This approval was granted mainly following the application of the BM Container Depot authorities in compliance with various conditions and in stages. And through this, the activities of the much discussed BM Container Depot, which was destroyed by the explosion of fire, are becoming normal.
