C T Online Desk: The killing of four national leaders was aimed towards creating a void in Awami League (AL) leadership, said the ruling party leader and the country’s corona preventive booth innovator Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar.
Babar, also a prominent entrepreneur, and former Awami Juba League central leader, stated this during an event organized marking the historic Jail Killing Day at Chattogram old railway station’s Kazir Dewri DC Hill area yesterday afternoon.
As part of the event, Babar, also an entrepreneur, and former central leader of Awami Juba League, distributed food among the orphans, destitutes and pedestrians in the port city.
At that time, he stated that a black chapter has been created in the history of Bangladesh through the killing of four national leaders. The anti-independence clique did it after the killing of Bangabandhu so that Bangladesh cannot turn around and unable to move forward further. The conspiracy was hatched in an attempt to make Bangladesh a failed state. As part of the dirty conspiracy, they started killing and torturing the political leaders indiscriminately so that the pro-independence force can never raise their heads. The perpetrators killed the four national leaders inside the jail as part of that heinous conspiracy.
Sechhwasebak League leader Prasanto Chowdhury Jisu, city Juba League leader Shibu Prashad Chowdhury, A M Kutub Uddin Chowdury, Nasir Uddin Fahim, Morshed Alam, Delwar Hossain, Maimun Chowdhury Mamun and Rupam Sarker were also present during the event.
