CDA move to construct 2 roads in city

C T Online Desk: Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has taken the initiative to construct two new 80 feet wide four lane roads inside the city. From Asian Women University to Zakir Hossain Road-Ambagan via Paschim Khulshi will be North South-1 and Arakan Road from Hajera-Taju Degree College to Ananya Residential to Bangabandhu Avenue Junction will be North South-Road.

If these two roads are implemented, on the one hand, the traffic congestion of the city will be reduced and on the other hand, working hours will be saved. Feasibility study of the roads has already started. DPP (Detail Project Plan) of the project will be sent to the ministry soon said project director AM Habibur Rahman. According to sources related to the project, North South-1 road will be 3.8 kilometers.

From Asian Women’s University to Zakir Hussain Road via Poultry Farm via Pahartali College to Ambagan Road and end. On the other hand, North South-2 road will be 2 and half km. The road will start from the opposite side of Hajera-Tju Degree College on Arakan Road in the city, pass Ananya Residential Area and end at Bangabandhu Avenue junction in front of Evercare Hospital.
