C T Online Desk: Bangladesh Upazila Parishad Association Chittagong Division President and Chairman of Rauzan Upazila Parishad AKM Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul said the conspirators’ conspiracy was not successful, the Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong will move forward. All conspiracies of self -styled palaces and identified landlords will be stopped. He said this at a press conference on Thursday (September 29th) at the auditorium of Chittagong Press Club, Bangladesh Upazila Parishad Association Chittagong District and Chittagong Division protested against the Chittagong Deputy Commissioner so spread false propaganda by the landlord and identified landsharks. Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul said that in the interest of Chittagong residents, Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman is an influential and landowner and the cycle involved in various illegal activities. “The failed group wants to remove the Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman from Chittagong for the sake of their own interests for the strict position against the landlords, protecting the interests of the people, honesty and devotion for the state during his duty.” It was also claimed at the press conference that the interests of the Chittagong people would be damaged if he was transferred from Chittagong. He said that after the submission of the nomination papers on September 7, the Deputy Commissioner and the then Returning Officer Mominur Rahman were included in the prayer. The Deputy Commissioner is not involved in the statement of the prayer. In fact, the propaganda has been spread against the Deputy Commissioner under a syndicate and sponsorship of a professional organization by selling billions of land illegally in the jungle Chhalimpur and Jungle Latifpur areas of Chittagong. The role of the Deputy Commissioner against the landlord of Jungle Chhalimpur, the protection of the court building, the role of DC in the control of the land acquisition- the role of the DC in strong hand- these three issues are self-styled palaces, who have failed to gain their interests. Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman benefited from various welfare activities, but the interest of vested quarters has been disrupted. So they are planning to remove him from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong or to transfer him. We will not allow public representatives to make such propaganda and the interests of the Chittagong people to make any kind of selfish interest. Therefore, I demand that all concerned, including the Prime Minister, explore the actual events to establish good governance and to create a precedent for the nurturing of the Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman.
