C T Online Desk: The US Coast Guard has expressed satisfaction with the monitoring of the overall security system as a result of strengthening and modernizing the security system of Chittagong port. 1 thousand 241 cameras have already been installed to strengthen the security of the port. In addition, 60 metric tons of dangerous goods have already been destroyed under the supervision of the customs authority of the container goods lying inside the port for a long time.
As a result of these activities, a delegation of the US Coast Guard recently visited the port and expressed satisfaction with the overall security system of the port.
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury gave this information in the meeting regarding the development, financial and administration of Chittagong port held in the meeting room of the Ministry of Shipping last Sunday. The meeting was chaired by the State Minister and was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry. Senior officials including Mustafa Kamal.
