C T Online Desk: As many as 152 diarrhoea patients were hospitalized in 24 hours to Saturday morning in Chittagong.
Eighty-seven had been admitted to 14 upazila complexes of the district, said Sujan Barua, district health coordinator at the Chittagong Civil Surgeon Office.
Besides, 48 were taken to Chittagong Maa-O-Shishu Hospital and the rest to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases.
A total of 2,445 people had been afflicted by diarrhoea in the last one month in the 15 upazilas of Chittagong, Sujan said.
Meanwhile, BITID Associate Professor Mamunur Rashid said the number of admissions at the Institute due to diarrhoea had fallen slightly over the last two days.
