C T Online Desk: As many as 177 diarrhoea patients were hospitalized in 24 hours in Chittagong on Tuesday, showing a rising trend in the number of cases.
Among the new patients, 93 patients are being treated in government hospitals of 14 upazilas of the district, reports Bangla Tribune.
A total of 52 are being treated at Chittagong Maa-O-Shishu Hospital, while, 32 patients are undergoing treatment at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID), Chittagong Civil Surgeon Office District Health Supervisor Sujan Barua said.
Dr Nurul Haque of Chittagong Maa-O-Shishu Hospital told Bangla Tribune that 52 patients are admitted to the hospital’s diarrhoea ward.
Meanwhile, BITID Associate Professor Dr Mamunur Rashid said 25 patients were admitted to the hospital earlier on Sunday.
