C T Online Desk: PV Online Report : Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said that there is no question of imposing any kind of additional tax burden on the city dwellers. New tax will be levied only on extension of existing structures and on construction of new structures. There is no room to be confused about house tax in Chittagong city.
The Mayor said these things during the meeting with the leaders of Chandgaon Residential Area Welfare Association of the city in his office room with the City Mayor on Monday.
City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said that tax payers have paid tax till now on the tax assessment in 2009. CCC is liable for collection of tax on municipal tax assessment 2017 as per government guidelines.
