C T Online Desk: The prevalence of diarrhea is increasing. In the last 24 hours, 63 people were infected and admitted to the hospital. Doctors said that along with severe heat, the patients are suffering from diarrhea due to bacterial infection with food.
According to the district civil surgeon office, the number of people suffering from diarrhea in Chittagong 14 upazilas is 63. Among them, 11 people live in Patia upazila, 8 people live in Banshkhali upazila, 7 people live in Rangunia upazila. Besides, 67 people have recovered in Chittagong in 24 hours. According to BITID hospital sources, currently 40 patients with diarrhea are under treatment in this hospital. Besides, 234 people have been admitted to the hospital with diarrhea in the last five days. Out of this, 23 people have been admitted in the last 24 hours. Most of the infected are from Kattli, Sagarika, Karnelhat, EPZ, Halishahar areas.
