C T Online Desk: The government is considering extending the weekends for educational institutions to save electricity.
She made the announcement during a seminar on Friday.
The minister said that a decision on the matter will be finalized and announced soon.
According to the new curriculum that is to come into effect from 2023, the educational institutions will have a two-day weekend.
Dipu Moni says that there has been no academic loss over the Covid pandemic and research on this issue was underway.
Speaking on the importance of technical education, the minister said: “No one has remained unemployed after receiving technical education.”
She added that technical education should be made prestigious.
