C T Online Desk: Jan 9, 2022 – A total of 104 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours after testing 1785 samples in ten
COVID-19 laboratories in the district.
Corona infection has crossed 100 marks again in the city and district
after three and a half months. The infection rate is 5.98 percent.
Health officials said the number of COVID-19 cases again speedily rose to
103,084 as 104 more persons were reported Covid-19 positive till Saturday
morning.
The total number of recovered patients from the deadly virus rose to
95,043 with the curing of 25 more people in the past 24 hours, Dr Ilias
Chowdhury, civil surgeon of Chattogram district, said adding that the
percentage of recovery rate is 92.34.
With one more new death recorded during the period, the death toll reached
1,333.
A total of 276 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different
designated hospitals here, the sources added.
