However, there is no specialized cardiac hospital in Chittagong, the second largest city in the country. To alleviate the long-standing grievances of the people of Chittagong, a specialized cardiac hospital will soon be constructed at Jungle Salimpur in Sitakunda upazila.
Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmed Kaikaus said the above while inspecting the land in the forest jungle Salimpur mouza on Saturday morning. At this time, he directed the director of the health department to send a proposal regarding the heart hospital.
Besides, for the construction of the hospital, Jangal Salimpur Mouza has initially allotted 4 acres and 80 per cent land of 360 spots.
