C T Online Desk: Nearly one lakh 40 thousand litres of edible oil were seized in Rajshahi and Kushtia on Tuesday, according to a private television channel.
The drives were conducted in Baneshawr of Rajshahi and Borobazar of Kushtia.
According to an online portal, police conducted drives at four warehouses of Baneshawr bazar and seized 92,616 litres of edible oil stored illegally.
Law enforcers also arrested four persons in connection to this incident.
Rajshahi district police conducted the drive based on secret information on Tuesday afternoon.
Spokesperson of Rajshahi district police and additional superintendent of police Md Iftekhar Alam confirmed the information.
