C T Online Desk: Garments workers blocked several roads in Mirpur in the capital Dhaka on Saturday demanding salary arrears, overtime wages and bonus for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Garments workers of Cotton Textile and Apparels took to the street at 9:00am to press their demand.
As a result, transport movement has been halted from Mirpur-10 to Mirpur-12.
Moreover, drivers were forced to use Mirpur-11 as alternative route.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station said garments workers blocked roads.
The law enforcers were trying to convince them to leave roads, the OC said.
