C T Online Desk: A lighter ship capsized at Bhasanchar New Channel area in the Bay of Bengal early Saturday with 11 sailors.
Coast guard members, however, managed to rescue all the crews.
Vessel Tonmoy-2 capsized early hours in the Bay of Bengal, Abdul Momin, senior warrant officer of Bhasanchar Coastguard, confirmed the matter.
Being informed around 9:30 am, they rushed to the scene, he said, adding that a navy ship started a rescue operation.
Later, the eleven sailors of the ship were rescued and shifted to a safer place, the official added.
