Partner Congress-2026′ held in Trishal

C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh:  ‘Partner Congress-2026’ was held in Trishal, Mymensingh under the ‘Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (PARTNERS)’ in the fiscal year 2025-26.

This event was organized by the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department at the Trishal Municipality Auditorium today, June 16 (Tuesday) at 3 pm.

​The event was presided over by Trishal Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arafat Siddiqui, while Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, agronomist Enamul Haque, was present as the chief guest.

Special guests included Dr. Umme Habiba, Training Officer of the Mymensingh District Department of Agricultural Extension, Dr. Salauddin Kaiser, Senior Monitoring Officer of the Partner Mymensingh Region, and Hammim Jahan, Agriculture Officer of Trishal Upazila, among others.

Speakers at the discussion said that to build a sustainable agricultural system, it is essential to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and increase the use of organic fertilizers. At the same time, they called on everyone to produce poison-free vegetables in their homesteads to meet the rural economy and family nutritional needs.

The speakers also mentioned that it is time to commercialize agriculture through the best use of modern agricultural machinery instead of traditional or conventional agricultural equipment. This stream of partner projects will play an important role in the modernization of farmers in the upazila.

Local agricultural officers, deputy assistant agricultural officers, and progressive farmers from various unions in the upazila participated in the said congress.
