A lively Ha-Doo-Doo game was held in Trishal

C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh:  The National Khela Ha-Du-Du Competition was held in Trishal, Mymensingh, at the initiative of the Alhari Izaraband Youth Association to preserve traditional rural sports. There was great enthusiasm among local sports enthusiasts surrounding the game.

Mymensingh South District BNP Joint Convener and Trishal Upazila BNP Convener Enamul Haque Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest at the Ha-Du-Du game at the Alhari Government Primary School ground on Friday afternoon. Trishal Upazila BNP Joint Convener Anisuzzaman Mridha and Upazila Sramik Dal President Firoz Nur were present as special guests.

Also present at the event were Mathbari Union BNP convener Mostaq Ahmed Sohel, former president Saiful Islam, Trishal Union BNP former joint convener Sarwar Jahan Jewel, local dignitaries, sports enthusiasts and people from different classes and professions.

In a brief speech before handing over the prizes to the winners at the end of the Ha-Du-Du game, the chief guest said that there is no alternative to sports to keep the current generation away from drugs and crime. Such an event will play an important role in introducing Ha-Du-Du, one of the most popular games of rural tradition, to the new generation.

At the end of the game, a khasi was distributed as a prize to the winners.
